How to apply for a grant

Unsolicited requests for funding will not be considered at this time.

This may change in the future. We will advertise any grant application opportunities and procedures through our social media channels when they become available.

There is no end of deserving and worthwhile causes that need support, therefore the Nikolaous Institute’s Trustees actively and discreetly seek out causes that fit within the targets our donors specify from time-to-time.

Due diligence

To verify our charitable status you can do so through the following means.

The Australian Business Register (ABR) provides a free Australian Business Number (ABN) search service so that anyone can independently check the status of Australian charities and businesses.

Our main charitable fund, The Nikolaous Institute of Philanthropy Charitable Trust - ABN: 41 573 267 190, can be verified through both the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission registry or through the Australian Business Register.

Our tax-deductible entity, The Nikolaous Institute of Philanthropy Ancillary Charitable Trust - ABN: 74 821 796 489, is governed only by the Australian Taxation Office and not the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.

Australian tax payers can claim a deduction on donations greater than two Australian dollars ($2.00) in value to an Australian tax-deductible entity. Please seek advice from a suitably qualified accountant or lawyer on any deductions you might be seeking.
